Beef & Mushroom Sauté with Mashed Sweet Potatoes

INGREDIENTS:
5 sides of beef (apprx 500 gr)
250 gr mushrooms (any variety)
3 sweet potatoes
1 green pepper
1 chopped onion
2 garlic cloves
1 tomato
1 tbsp tomato paste
Olive oil
1,5 tbsp butter
50 ml milk
Spices (ground black pepper, nutmeg, salt, thyme, leave of daphne, paprika)
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a bowl, put the beef slices with some olive oil, a grated garlic clove, black pepper, salt and thyme for marinating beef. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Put the sweet potatoes into a pot add some water, let it boil until the potatoes softened on medium heat.
After the potatoes boil, transfer into a pan with butter and milk. Then mash together with potato masher. Add some salt, grated nutmeg and black pepper.
Cook the chopped onion and a grated garlic clove with some olive oil on medium heat in the pan. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Add mushrooms, green pepper and tomato in order. When the mushrooms begin to soften put tomato paste and salt, nutmeg, a pinch of black pepper then stir together.
In the meanwhile, remove the beef from the fridge and seal the sides of beef in a very hot skillet on high heat. Seal for about 2 minutes for each side before flip it over. Set them aside to cut into cubes.
Once the mushrooms begin to release their liquid, add the beef back to the pan. And leaves of daphne, paprika. Cook all ingredients to combine about 10-15 minutes on low medium heat.
Serve the sauté with mashed sweet potatoes.
